Susan Garber Profile

It’s hard to believe that helping create an enduring rock and roll legend would lead to a career of uncovering consumer insights & motivations, building brands, & creating dynamic positioning & marketing for organizations big and small, established and start-up throughout the U.S.

But being part of the “start-up” days of KISS (still one of the world’s top grossing bands) and other more established recording artists like Paul McCartney and Eric Clapton, showed Susan Garber how to put the power into branding and marketing needed to create successful products and companies.

Susan is accomplished at putting insights and ingenuity to use for a wide variety of clients, products, and services in part by always staying focused on understanding not just the product itself but the product’s consumer as well. She advises clients on how to focus their strategic business planning and marketing, develop branding and positioning, field and analyze market research & customer insights, and develop communications messaging.

Prior to becoming a consultant, Susan was Senior Vice President at Launch Media, an early digital start-up that created and marketed one of the industry’s first interactive products (later sold to Yahoo!). While at Launch, she was responsible for image and branding as well as all consumer and trade marketing, advertising, interactive, and public relations programs. Previously, Susan held senior account management positions at influential advertising agencies in New York, San Francisco, and Los Angeles, including BBDO and FCB.

Susan has been a guest lecturer at USC Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism, the Otis College of Art & Design, the University of Arizona McGuire Center for Entrepreneurship, and the Arizona Center for Innovation.
